The 18th Annual Meeting of the International Conference on Genomics (ICG-18) is scheduled to be held from April 12th to 28th, 2023 in various locations including Zhangjiajie, Beijing, Xi'an, Nanjing, Wenzhou, Shanghai, Singapore, Hangzhou, and London (to be determined).
The ICG-18 will continue to promote the Spirit of the Human Genome Project (HGP), i.e. “Owned by All, Done by All, Shared by All”, and advocate global cooperation and sharing with all humankind, facilitates international cooperation among developing nations in particular.
The themes of the ICG-18 would cover Review and reflection on the 25th Anniversary of the Preparatory Meeting of the China Chapter;The 20th Anniversary of Completion of the International HGP&Biodiversity;HGP and Phenomics/Multiomics;HGP and Omics and Optometry;HGP and Regional Development of Life Sciences & Bioindustry in Central/Western China;HGP and Vocational Education;From the Electronic Century to the Biological Century;The 70th Anniversary of the Discovery of DNA Double Helix and Life Science and Industry Forum in Yangtze Delta Region.
To contribute to the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals, the ICG-18 adopts the Standard for Green Meeting (T/CGDF 00027-2021) to effectively reduce biodiversity and carbon footprints, by promoting recycling of conference materials, enhancing reduction of energy consumption, printing materials, food waste and disposable bottled water, as well as holding online sessions and encouraging carbon offsets, etc.
